Tallaght Photographic Society – Moving Forward

Last May I was elected President of the Tallaght Photographic Society.  I have never held a position of this sort before, so this is going to be quite a learning curve for me, but one I am going to enjoy.  Thankfully I am a part of a strong committee – a committee who’s strengths include, among others, experience and fresh ideas. And ideas are what I want from TPS members.  As President, I consider myself to be more of a navigator than a leader, my task being to take direction from the club members and to get the TPS to where it needs to go.  I am open to any suggestions from members as to how the club might improve and advance. Photography is a pastime that is growing in popularity.  In my two years as a club member I have seen the TPS grow in strength and number.  Each new member brings something of value to the club, whether it is their own experience of photography or their eagerness to learn more.  I would like to encourage anyone interested in photography to come along to one of our meetings or outings.  We welcome everyone from beginners to experienced enthusiasts, […]
