The summer is almost at an end and September is just around the corner. This means that the Tallaght Photographic Society will be resuming their weekly meetings at the Rua Red South Dublin Arts Centre from Tuesday, September 7, 2010. We will have our meetings there from 7:30pm to 9:30pm every Tuesday evening.
Current members may notice some changes, in particular to the format of the monthly league competitions. Due to difficulties created last season by the sheer size of the competition entries, the committee have decided to reduce the amount of entries from two colour prints, two black & white prints and two projected images to just one of each.
We also feel that the focus of the club should be placed more upon the club members themselves than it has been in previous seasons. To this end, the committee are open to any suggestions club members have about what direction the club might take over the coming season.
Unfortunately, since last May’s AGM, the committee is still without a Competition Secretary – and we would encourage any members who are considering a more pro-active role in the club.
Finally, I hope you have all had a great summer and have taken some lovely photographs. I’m looking forward to seeing them, and you, in September.
