TPS Summer Outings

The Tallaght Photographic Society are finished our weekly meetings at the Rua Red until September – however this provides a great opportunity to meet and get out and about to take some photographs for next season’s competitions or just for fun! Meet in Molloy’s carpark each Tuesday for 7.30pm.  Hopefully, if we get a decent summer, we should be in for some beautiful sunsets.  Click on Programme for a list of potential places to visit this summer.  If the weather’s bad – we can still head out (as rainy evenings can provide some nice photos too) or we can head into Molloy’s for some coffee and share our photographic tip, tricks and tall tales! This Tuesday, June 7th, we are going to Howth Harbour.  Meet in Molloy’s carpark – leaving at 7.30pm sharp.  See you there!

TPS 2011 Winners

Last Tuesday evening was the Tallaght Photographic Society end of season party and prize-giving night held in Molloy’s Tavern in Tallaght. A huge “Thank You!” to everyone who turned up on the night and a very special thanks to Brian Nealon for all of the hard work he did organising, not only the venue, but the winners’ certificates and medals. Congratulations to all of our winners and runners-up (listed below) – very well deserved, each and every one.  You are all a credit to the TPS and an inspiration to photographers everywhere – well done! A special mention to Carl Farmer (FIPF) who won the TPS, Photographer of the Year! Finally to all the TPS members…  enjoy the summer break (hopefully we’ll see many of you at our weekly summer evening outings) and we’ll return in September for more fun and photography!
