Outing on Tuesday 3rd July.

Hello everyone, This Tuesday 3rd July our outing is bit of a treat this week. Were going up to Sally Gap where we might (Hoping the weather is fine) get a lovely sunset. We will also be having a bit of a Barbecue with some sausages and burgers for you. We will meet in Molloy’s car park for 7:30pm start (so don’t be late).  Prepare for the weather and don’t forget your camera! For those who want to go straight out you can take the Blessington Road and turn off on to the R759 towards Kilbride (chance to take photos if you like). You stay on the R759 to Sally Gap. A couple of kilometres before Sally Gap is a bridge and a car park just before the bridge. That is were we will be having some sausages and burgers for you. If you are coming on the outing this Tuesday can you just sent me a email to say you are coming so we have a rough number sausages and burgers to get. Cheers Derek

Hello everyone, This Tuesday (19th) our outing is to Phoenix Park. There are a few buildings, deer, a cross to take photos of and also the Victorian People’s Flower Gardens will also be open for us. The gardens will close at 9:30pm. From The Phoenix Park website: The Victorian People’s Flower Gardens are located between the Parkgate Street entrance, and the North Circular Road Gate entrance to the Phoenix Park. They comprise of an area of 9 hectares (22 acres) and were laid out and enclosed in 1864. The gardens were originally established in 1840 as the Promenade Grounds. They provide an opportunity to demonstrate Victorian horticulture at its best. A large ornamental lake, children’s playground, picnic areas and Victorian bedding schemes are just some of the attractions. We will be meeting in Molloy’s car park on Tuesday evening for a 7.30pm start (so don’t be late). Prepare for the weather and don’t forget your camera!

TPS Outing, June 12th

Good times at last Tuesday’s outing to Blessington Lakes.  Although the sky was grey and the light was flat, the creativity of our members shone through and some great images were produced (see the TPS Summer Outing One-Shot competition on Flickr) and lots of fun was had. For future outings, consider bringing along a small prop or two as if the weather, or location, is not inspiring you, an interesting prop might get the creative juices flowing.  At Blessington Lakes, Paul Slye brought some inspiration in the shape of steel wool, a whisk and a cigarette lighter and we got a smashing fiery light show after dark (do not try this at home folks!) This Tuesday June 12th, we will head out to Bray for some sea side shots!  Meeting in Molloy’s car park on Tuesday evening for a 7.30pm start (so don’t be late).  Prepare for the weather and don’t forget your camera!
