April 14th – Lightroom Demo

April 14th – Lightroom Demo

We’re going to take a look at some post processing this Tuesday, April  14th at the TPS with a demo of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.  Lightroom is a photo processor and image organiser.  Version 1.0 was introduced in February 2007 and was aimed more specifically at photographers than the Adobe Photoshop Creative Suites.  It provides a user friendly way of performing basic photo editing, like cropping and other adjustments.

On Tuesday, we’ll take some photos under different conditions and with RAW and JPEG settings to show the difference between both file types and then process them in Lightroom.

Congratulations to member David Turnbull on winning April’s architecture themed one shot competition with a Venice scene.  David has chosen Creative Self Portraits as the theme for May, inspired by last week’s amazing guest speaker, Scott MacBride.  Time to turn those cameras on yourselves folks and come up with a winning selfie for May 5th.

Just a reminder also that the TPS Treasure Hunt entries are to be submitted on Tuesday, April 28th!  The winner will be judged on the most creative set of 23 images and announced on our final meeting – our prize giving night on May 26th.  See the following link for more details and the list of 23 images: TPS Treasure Hunt
