Tuesday 20th November 2017

This coming Tuesday we have Daragh Muldowney as our guest speaker. Daragh’s interest in photography originally developed, when he completed a Scuba Diving course in 1992, where he was awe struck by the experience of being under water. Life under the sea seemed like another world, where he made an instant connection with the elements. Shortly after Daragh bought a Canon camera and the rest as they say is history. Daragh has travelled far and wide from the Sahara to Iceland and has captured stunning images from these contrasting landscapes and Daragh will be showing some of these images with us on Tuesday. No doubt it will be a great talk. Here is a link to Daragh’s website  www.dulraphotography.com Tuesday is also league entry night so be sure to have your images ready for Tuesday. As we have a guest speaker please have your images mounted and labelled prior to bringing to the club as we do not want to disturb the speaker. Digital images can be sent to tpscompetitions@gmail.com can you also please email a digital copy of your print entries. We need to keep these images for possible selection in future IPF competitions. TPS AGM Tuesday 16th May

The National Club Finals were held in Mullingar this weekend where Tallaght came Joint 8th in colour and 10th in B&W. We did reasonably well considering we had not entered for a while and it was the first time for all who were helping select the images. Congratulations to Catchlight Camera Club who won the overall event with 2 fantastic panels of images. Next year we will try and improve on these positions which means we need lots of great images from all club members.   There was a distinction sitting also and I am delighted to say that Alastair Thacker was awarded his LIPF. Congratulations to Alastair, the standard was very high and its a great achievement. Hope fully when we meet back in September we can have a look at Alastair’s panel.   Our meeting this week in the Maldron will be our annual AGM. This is an important meeting for the club. Much will be decided about the club and the direction we will take next year. Please attend if you can, decisions will be made that affect all club members and if you are not there you will not be heard and will not be able […]
