TPS meeting 21st January 2020

This week we welcome Dermot Byrne to the club. You can see examples of his work at the following link – https://dermotbyrnephoto.ie This Tuesday is also hand in night for our Monthly League Competition. Gerry will be collecting the prints and taking in your digital photos by USB or email to tpscompetitions@gmail.com. Please remember you must submit digital copies of your printed entries. All emailed entries must be in by 8pm. If you have any questions on this please ask Gerry or another committee member either at the club or by email. Congratulation to Ollie O’Flanagan, winner of the January one shot. The February theme for the one shot is Motion. Our annual exhibition will be held in County Library, Tallaght. Photographs will be hung on Saturday 1st February and we will have the official opening on Tuesday 4th February at 1830hrs in place of our usual meeting. The exhibition will be opened by the Tallaght Person of the Year – Lee Moroney. Club night Tuesday 14th January

This Tuesday we will have club member Ronan Kennedy discussing his L panel, and also showing photos from his recent trip to Australia. It is a great chance to ask Ronan questions on all aspects of submitting a panel. Tuesday is also one shot night, the theme this month is Workers Portrait. Please bring your entries on the night on USB – emailed entries are not accepted for one shot. There are some club calendars for sale and will be available on Tuesday, and if anyone still has money for selling the calendars, this can be handed in on the night. See you Tuesday.

TPS Meeting 7th January 2020

We are back to our regular weekly meetings on Tuesday 7th January in the Maldron. For our first night back we have our usual post Christmas Show and Tell, where you can showcase some of the images taken over the Christmas break. Bring along your images on a USB on the night, maximum 15 images please….. A reminder that the One Shot will be held on Tuesday 14th January, the theme is Workers Portrait – so plenty of time to get that image ready! Look forward to seeing you in the Maldron at 8pm – new members always welcome!

TPS Meeting 17th December – Christmas walk in town

Another successful and enjoyable Christmas party took place last Friday night. Thank you to the venue, to the sponsors of the prizes, to the members who attended and last but not least to the committee members who worked hard to pull it all together. Congratulations to those who were presented with prizes for the shield, and to Olly for winning the Christmas one shot. Last event of the year is our Christmas walk in Town this Tuesday evening. We will meet at Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre at 8pm, so see some of you then. Wishing all our members and supporters a very peaceful Christmas and see members in the Maldron Hotel on Tuesday 7th January for our show and tell night.

No TPS meeting Tuesday 10th December

There is no meeting in the Maldron on Tuesday (10th December) this week. Remember we have our Christmas Party on Friday 13th @ 8.30pm. As usual there will be some yummy finger food and a fantastic members draw. The December One Shot is also happening that nigh so remember to bring along your printed Christmas Themed photo…. Judging is different for this month i.e. we will all get an opportunity to vote for our favourite shot. We will also be presenting Brenda, John and Karl, our award winning photographers, with their Shield prizes at the Christmas party. Looking forward to seeing you all for a busy and fun filled night on Friday.

TPS Meeting 3rd December 2019

This Tuesday for the first half of our Club Meeting, Gerry Daly is going to show some of his photos from his recent trip to Japan. During the second half we are going to have a closer look at our recent Shield entry Panel with Neil O Reilly. This will be our last meeting at the Maldron for 2019. We don’t have a meeting on Tuesday 10th as we have our Christmas Party on Friday 13th. Remember to get those Christmas themed photos ready for the one shot….on the 13th….Bring along the Printed photo…. On Tuesday 17th we will have our Christmas walk in Town. Meet at Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre at 8pm. Member Alice O’Brien is running a beginners workshop on Saturday 7th December in the Library in Tallaght from 10am to 4pm.
