Tallaght Photographic Society Merchandise

Just a note to let members know that there is a Range of Tallaght Photographic Society merchandise available through one of our members, Howard Swaine.

There are Polo Shirts, Fleece Jackets, Caps, Club T-shirts and Photographer’s Vests. All have our club logo embroidered on them and are of top quality.

The Polo shirts are available in colours Black, Navy, Royal Blue, Red, Bottle Green, and White, and are priced at only €20 each.:

Photographic Society of America

PSA is a worldwide interactive organization for anyone interested in photography, be they casual, serious amateurs or professional photographers. Individual, Camera Club, Chapter and Council members are offered a wide variety of activities: a monthly magazine, photo and digital competitions, study groups via mail and the internet, how-to programs, an annual conference and a raft of other activities and services.
 
The Photographic Society of America was founded in 1934 to “Promote the Arts and Sciences of Photography and to further public education therein”. There are members in all 50 states as well as 60 other countries of the world. PSA Headquarters are located in Oklahoma City, OK.

Denis joined Dundalk Photographic Society in 1986.His most recent positions held are:- Secretary 2001 to 2006, Chairman 2006 to 2009, IPF Council member 1996 to 2001 and was re-elected in 2008
Distinctions:  AIPF 1999, EFIAP 2001

New Season, New Venue, New Time

Tallaght Photographic Society is delighted to announce that our new season will commence on 1st September 2009 at a new venue, RUA RED, in Tallaght.  RUA RED, a dynamic centre for arts in the Tallaght area, was opened in February of this year and will be our home for the 2009/2010 season. Our club meetings will be held, as usual, on Tuesday evenings but at the earlier start time of 7.30pm and finishing at 9.30pm. We will meet in the Performance Space in RUA RED which can accommodate up to 70 people. A great season is ahead of us with monthly competitions, guest speakers and practical workshops. New members are always welcome, just come along any Tuesday evening. Membership fee € 75 plus €2 at the door (including tea or coffee).

Fire Destroys TPS Clubhouse

April 13, 2009

Unfortunately, our Clubhouse in Tallaght was destroyed by fire on Saturday 11th April 2009 by an act of vandalism. Further details and images will be displayed over the next couple of days. Tuesday’s club meeting (14th April) will continue in the school, (many thanks to the management of the school for arranging access at short notice during the School holidays).
