This Tuesday is League Judging night and we are delighted to welcome Suzanne Mc Mahon from Palmerstown Camera Club to judge for us. Good luck to everyone.
The theme for February’s One Shot is “Emotions” and will be judged by January’s winner, Brenda Sheridan, on Tuesday 12th February.
We all know that we have a huge amount of talent in the Club so it’s time to show it off. We started with the exhibition in October and now we are planning on setting up a showcase gallery on our website. The showcase will have two divisions Advanced and Non-Advanced and will have a number of photography categories. We are calling on all members to submit, up to three of their favourite photographs for each category. Categories are as follows:
• Landscape / seascape
• Nature / wildlife
• Portrait / studio / people
• Close-up / macro
• Street / culture / travel / cityscape
Photos should be provided, in digital form, on club nights from now until the end of February. Please include your membership number and title in the file name. Photos should be taken within the last two years and you must be a paid-up member to participate. If you have any questions please ask Alice who is co-ordinating the initiative or email us at email@example.com
A beginners workshop will be run in Tallaght Library on April 6th from 10am – 4pm by Alice O Brien. Anyone interested can talk to Alice at the club or email firstname.lastname@example.org

This Tuesday at our weekly meeting in the Maldron at 8pm member Paul Maxwell is going to talk to us about his photography journey. Paul has a great creative streak so the talk is bound to be an interesting one!
This Tuesday is also league entry night, please have your images ready to go on Tuesday, mounted and named etc for prints and re-sized and named correctly for digital entries. Please also send a digital copy of you prints to email@example.com when sending in your digital entry. This is important as we need to keep a pool of images for club competitions.
Brenda Sheridan won January’s One Shot with her interpretation of the Table Top Macro theme and has set the theme for and will judge February’s. She has set the theme of “Emotions” and the one shot will take place on Tuesday February 12th. For our newer members The One Shot is a themed, fun competition that we run every month. You can enter one photo portraying your interpretation of the theme set. There are no rules apart from you must bring your entries on a USB to the meeting by 8pm on the night and hand it to a committee member (usually Maureen). The One Shot is judged on the night and the winner sets the theme for and judges the next One Shot. The winner also receives a voucher for Harvey Norman’s in Nutgrove. See you all on Tuesday.Read On
