Party and Awards
It’s that time of the year again!! Time to party and find out the results of the League. On Friday 24th we will have our end of year party and prize giving ceremony in Molloys, kicking off at 20.30. There will be a change to “Photographer of the Year”. This year there will be a photographer of the year in each section – so 3 trophies. There will be prizes for the winners in each of the 3 sections of competition in Novice, Intermediate and Advanced divisions. Fridays party will be the highlight of the year and is always a great night so pencil it in to your diary!!
We have a slight change to this month’s one shot. We will have it at the party. Please print your entry and bring it along on the night for Paddy to judge. The theme is “Composite Photo”.
We are looking for volunteers to organise a stall for TPS at Tallafest on 22nd June. Unfortunately they’re not supplying gazebos or tables this year due to insurance reasons so we’d have to arrange that ourselves. If you’re interested let me or any of the committee members know.
We are NOT meeting next Tuesday night. (If you’re free/bored feel free to organise a get together through the WhatsApp outings group).
Our Tuesday outings will kick off on the 28th. More on that next week!
We are NOT meeting in the Maldron Hotel on Tuesday the 14th. Instead Mark Pollock will lead us on a walkabout in Tallaght. This will afford members the opportunity to get to know the local photography spots and also take photographs to put forward for consideration for our 2020 Calendar. Meet at the car park at Molloys Bar at 7.30pm.
One Shot and Party

This Tuesday at our weekly meeting in the Maldron at 8pm we welcome Anthony Lynch. Anthony’s photographic interests lie in landscape and astrophotography.
Rick Taylor will also be at the club on Tuesday to clean camera sensors. If you want to avail of this, bring your camera with battery fully charged. Cost will be €10 for a dry clean or €20 for a wet clean. I’m sure Rick will advise which is necessary.

This Tuesday we have 3 things going on in the club:
1. We are having an EGM to vote on two proposals (agenda sent by mail). Remember this is your club and these are your decisions to make so please come along on Tuesday to vote.
2. If the EGM finishes early we will have a members constructive criticism session! If you have any photos that you think maybe you would like to enter in the league but are unsure about them, bring them along on USB and we will show them onscreen. You can talk about them or keep it anonymous, it’s your choice. Bring in a max of 10 images, depending on how many are brought in we might limit how many are shown
3. Tuesday is League Entry night so don’t forget to bring your printed and digital images. Information re labelling of images in post dated 16th April.
